Explore your previous lives
Some people scoff at the idea of re-incarnation and yet history is full of accounts of people describing previous lives, and research into so called 'near death' experiences has brought remarkably consistent reports of another plane of existence beyond this one. Religions tell us there is life after death. Some tell us that when we die we go to heaven or to hell, depending on our behaviour in this life. Others tell us that we go through several, possibly many, lives as we learn and grow in human form. Having experienced past life regression personally and as a therapist, I have the firm belief that we go through multiple lives as we progress in our learning. But it doesn't matter what religion you have, or if you have none at all, experiencing past life regression greatly enhances your belief in powers and energies far beyond those we experience here on Earth.
A regression session normally lasts from 1 to 2 hours, occasionally longer. During this time you are first taken into a very relaxed state - more relaxed than you would normally experience when having a phobia removed for example. In this deeply relaxed state your subconscious is more able to 'break free' and let you discover the memories and experiences that it holds from previous lives and indeed from periods between lives. You will be fully conscious throughout the experience and will 'see' your past lives, but in a detached fashion, almost like watching them being acted out on TV. You may only see small 'extracts' from your life, but sometimes you will experience a whole series of events. Most people find their experiences get better and better, the more they are regressed.
Please don't expect to be Cleopatra, or King Henry VIII, it is far more likely that you will find yourself a poor peasant, or a simple trader or craftsman or woman. Some previous lives can be quite cruel but your detached state makes it easy to cope and since you are always in control you can stop the regression at any time. It is not uncommon for people being regressed to come back to full consciousness only to return almost immediately to the same previous life or another one.
With the many people I have helped to regress to previous lives there has been one common experience that they have all reported - a wonderful sense of peace that fills them and stays with them afterwards. Other common experiences are a great increase in self worth and confidence and, perhaps understandably, a loss of any fear of dying. Knowing (rather than just believing) that death is simply passing from one life to another brings an enormous sense of well being and faith in the future.
Perhaps even more interesting is that many people have found present day problems are 'cured' by past life regression. It is thought that many of the issues we face today are caused by 'unfinished business' from a previous life, and by going back to that life we are able to draw the line across an event which should have been done while in that life.
If you would like to learn more about past life regression I would recommend a book by Dr Brian Weiss called Many Lives Many Masters. He is a prominent USA psychiatric doctor and in the book, he describes how a chance past life regression occurred when he was treating a patient. This discovery brought his patient a solution to her long standing problems, but also led the doctor into a new direction with his career.
